National Pyjama Day Friday 6th March

Over 50,000 children will wear their pyjamas into their early childhood education setting on Friday 6th March  2015 with the aim of raising €200,000 for Irish Autism Action (IAA).

This is the largest fundraising event giving positive visibility to the work of the early childhood sector. The success of this event has been recognized by fundraising Ireland and Early Childhood Ireland National Pyjama Day 2014 campaign has been short listed in the Best Event category for the National Awards for Excellence in Fund Raising, so your support is really appreciated to make National Pyjama day 2015 even better!!

2015 marks the beginning of Early Childhood Ireland’s partnership with Irish Autism Action and it is hope that National Pyjama day will be the biggest and best National Pyjama Day to date. All monies raised on the day will be used by Irish Autism Action to:

  • Develop an awareness raising campaign.
  • Develop training specifically tailored to meet the needs of the ECCE sector.
  • Evaluate the Step A Head Pilot Programme.

All of the above will go towards supporting the early childhood care and education sector and enhance the lives of young children accessing early childhood care and education settings.
