Did you know that KCCC has a Childcare Providers Network that meets four times a year? Have you and your staff been attending?
The Childcare Providers Network provides an invaluable forum for networking with other childcare providers from your area and across the county, for sharing information and ideas and provides much needed support from your peers in the childcare sector.
At each network meeting an Information Session or Workshop is provided on a topic of interest and importance for providers. These topics are decided in consultation with the providers who attend the network- recent workshops included Music & Movement, Understanding Children’s Behaviour, Healthy Eating and the Importance of Training. The workshops provided are fun, interesting and relevant to childcare and the feedback from those who do attend is always positive – many of the participants attend just to enjoy a warm, relaxing and fun environment to gain additional professional development experiences from the workshops but also just to chat with other providers and learn from others experience. As the network is a collaborative with the NVCC’s it also provides the opportunity to link in with support workers and regional representatives from IPPA, NCNA, Montessori Ireland and Forbairt Naionrai Teo.
